I do not own this song or have any claim to the series, FX, etc. Theme song from the Sons of Anarchy; “This Life” by Curtis Stigers & The Forest Rangers Song can be purchased from iTunes, as well as other songs featured in the new season. For those looking to watch the show online, visit sidereel.com. VideoBB, Videozer and MegaVideo let you watch 72 minutes free every so often (I think every day). Lyrics: Riding through this world all alone God takes your soul, you’re on your own The crow flies straight, a perfect line On the Devil’s Bed until you die This life is short, baby that’s a fact Better live it right, you ain’t comin back Gotta raise some hell, ‘fore they take you down Gotta live this life Gotta look this world in the eye Gotta live this life until you die You better have soul, nothing less Cause when its business time, it’s life or death The king is dead, the light goes on You’ll lose your head when the deal goes down Better keep your eyes on the road ahead Gotta live this life Gotta look this world in the eye, gotta live this life until you die

The Secret of Life — Discovery of DNA Structure

On February 10, 2012, in DNA, by Nararya

Fifty years ago, James Watson and Francis Crick announced to patrons in a Cambridge pub that they had just discovered the secret of life. Their discovery was that the DNA double helix explained how cells divide and develop. Yet it was not enlightened genius alone that propelled Watson and Crick toward this fundamental revelation. In addition they were building on the work of other scientists and a fortuitous (and un-acknowledged at the time) collaboration with Rosalind Franklin, a British X-Ray crystallographer, was of crucial help in this great achievement. All 50 Secrets of the Sequence videos have an accompanying classroom-tested lesson that encourages students to further explore the video topics. Each lesson includes background information, state and national science standards, discussion questions and answers, teacher notes and an activity that will ensure a hands-on, “minds-on” experience. Life Insurance

Life Insurance

If you are interested in giving up your whole life insurance policy because you need the funds to pay for a serious or life-threatening illness. Rather than surrendering your policy for the cash value, an accelerated death benefits rider would allow you to access money from the death benefit in the event that you are diagnosed with a terminal condition. However, keep in mind that these funds would be subtracted from the payout beneficiaries receive when death occurs.

The life settlement option

A life settlement is when a life insurance contract is sold to an investor in exchange for a sum of money, which often exceeds what would have been paid to you if your life insurance contract was allowed to lapse or was surrendered for cash value.

A life settlement could be an option if you have determined that you no longer want your whole life insurance policy because you no longer have a life insurance need.

Confirm your life insurance needs

Jim Holtzman, an advisor and shareholder with Legend Financial, Pittsburgh, Penn., recommends that you contact your life insurance agent or financial advisor to do a needs analysis.

This is an assessment that can help you define your financial needs and goals, and to account for ongoing responsibilities such as education costs, mortgage obligation, or retirement needs. Since there may be tax consequences to modifying or terminating a whole life policy, consultation with a qualified tax advisor is also a good idea.

Holtzman adds that he is cautious when clients want to get rid of a life insurance policy. There are several options that should be considered first, including paying premiums from cash value or through policy dividends. For those who have a need for the funds, the cash value can be used to pay for a long-term care policy or a combination of long-term care and life insurance.
